She takes the bus to school which takes a long time but she gets to watch the sunset strip go by and watch people. She feels public transportation is vital for not becoming an out-of-touch elitist (which she otherwise might accidentally become due to her preference for cane sugar fizzy drinks and vegan homemade pies). She goes to a church full of very old black people who give her perfumed hugs. She likes talking about setbacks, hand painted signs, grocery stores, her cats, and what to eat.
